Cervical, penis and vaginal swab samples should be collected in sterile containers or LaborantTM SI-NAT Viral Transfer Tubes (Cat No:SI-NAT-100). There is no need to extract DNA from samples taken from the SI-NAT tubes. Sample can be added directly into the reaction.
Samples can also be collected into Thinprep PreservCyt®, Pathezt®, CytoScreenTM, CellSolutions® and BD SurepathTM collection medium. Self testing devices like Evalyn BrushTM and dry swabs are also suitable for test.
Product Information
LaborantTM HPV Genotyping Kit is used for genotyping of the HPV-16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 59, 66, 67 and 68 subtypes with multiplex PCR amplification in 4 tubes using gene-specific primers. The kit allows to achieve RT-qPCR result in around 40 minutes and may vary according to the Ramp Rate of the device. The kit is applied to DNA extracts from human swab (cervical, penis and vaginal swab) samples. The oligonucleotide set targeting human RPP-30 gene functions as a control of the sampling, nucleic acid extraction and inhibition.
