This test is designed to be used as an aid in the detection and differentiation of bacterial, viral, and yeast pathogens responsible for meningitis, in conjunction with clinical and epidemiological risk factors. Detection is performed in a one-step multiplex formula in which reverse transcription and amplification of specific sequences for key meningitis-causing pathogens occur in the same reaction. The panel includes rapid and accurate identification of the most common bacterial (such as Neisseria meningitidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae), viral (including enteroviruses), and yeast pathogens (notably Cr yptococcus neoformans/gattii), ensuring comprehensive coverage for effective diagnosis and management.
