LaborantTM HCV Genotyping RT-qPCR Kit is used for determination of the Hepatitis C Virus subtypes with convenient one-step formulation, for both cDNA synthesis and PCR amplification in a single tube using gene-specific primers from either total RNA or mRNA. The kit allows to achieve RT-qPCR result in around 40 minutes and may vary according to the Ramp Rate of the device. The kit is applied to RNA extracts from EDTA plasma samples. Rapid diagnosis with the kit is achieved via one-step reverse transcription (RT) and real-time PCR (qPCR) (RT-qPCR) targeting HCV 1A, 1B, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 subtypes specific gene fragments. The oligonucleotide set targeting human RNase P gene functions as a control of the sampling, nucleic acid extraction and inhibition.
