The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), a member of Lentivirus, is an positive single-stranded ribonucleic acid (RNA) virus about 100 nm in diameter. HIV infects humans and cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) over time. Laborant HIV1/2 Quantification Kit detects quantification of the HIV1 and HIV2 virus by real-time PCR (qPCR). This kit is used for the quantitative detection of both HIV1 and HIV2 virus with convenient one-step and multiplex PCR amplification. Kit contains 4 standards (HIV-S E3, HIV-S E4, HIV-S E5, HIV-S E6) that include a certain number of virus copies. The copy number of the unknown sample is calculated through these standards.
